Poetry Prize Giving in London

We were thrilled and proud to attend the 'Never Such Innocence' international poetry prize-giving yesterday. Ryan Reed from year 5 and his father travelled to London with Mr Horn to collect the award from General Sir Gordon Messenger, Vice Chief of Defence Staff.  The day was exciting from start to finish and  featured the band of the Scots Guards, the Royal Marines Drum Corps and marching from the Queen’s Colour Squadron. There was a helicopter landing and afternoon tea opposite Buckingham Palace! What an honor to be included in the winners of this incredible event to remember World War I.
